What field types can Brieform generate?
Brieform supports 13 field types: text, email, phone, long text, dropdown select, radio (single choice), checkbox (multiple choice), star rating, date picker, number, URL, password, and a GDPR consent field. The AI picks the right type based on your description.
Can I edit the generated form after creation?
Yes. Continue the chat to modify anything: add fields, remove fields, change labels, reorder steps, update validation rules, or switch field types. The AI applies changes to the live form without rebuilding from scratch.
How accurate is the AI generation?
For common form types (lead capture, contact, intake, survey, registration), the first generation is typically 80-90% ready to publish. Most teams describe the form once and then make 1-2 chat adjustments.
Is AI generation free?
Yes. AI form generation, editing in chat, and all 13 field types are available on the free plan. Authenticated users get unlimited generation. Anonymous users on the landing page get 2 prompts per 24 hours.
Can I generate forms in languages other than English?
You describe the form in English. Field labels, placeholders, and descriptions can be set in any language by specifying them in your prompt ('use French labels').
Does Brieform generate conditional logic automatically?
Yes. Describe the branching in your prompt and the AI sets conditional rules. You can also add logic after generation: 'if the budget field is over $10,000, show the enterprise tier question'.
Can Brieform generate multi-step forms?
Yes. For complex intake forms or surveys, the AI adds step structure automatically. You can also request it explicitly: 'split this into 3 steps' or 'put contact info on the first step and project details on the second'.
