Project briefs that arrive structured, not as a Loom rant.
Structure the project before you price.
A project brief should tell you scope, constraints, and success criteria before you price. Most arrive as a Loom, a forward, or three Slack threads. This template is the intake you send when the project is fuzzy, not when the client is already asking for a number. Use it when: a new site, brand, product, or content mission is in discussion and you still cannot list deliverables with confidence.
No card required. EU-hosted.
When to use
- Kickoff not signed; you are still shaping the job
- Client sent inspiration, not requirements
- You need decisions (stack, locales, CMS, brand assets) before a quote
Fields included
- Project name
- Requester
- Goals
- Target audience
- Deliverables
- References
- Constraints
- Deadline
Ask for goals, audience, must-haves, nice-to-haves, constraints (budget band, deadline, tech), assets on hand, and decision makers. Skip what the brief already stated. The point is gaps, not a second novel.
